VKS have lost a ridiculous amount of fighter bombers the last 2 weeks. Production of SU-34 is around 4 per year btw. The multiple downings of these are likely linked to the deadly Russian glide bombs (which still requires them to get fairly close).
I think it’s high time that Dmitry put the bottle down.

No, it’s a damning mistake by the general and his adjutants. This is just incredibly damaging for intra-NATO relations and is not something any beurocrat or military man would do to pressure a politician. He gave RU free intel and free evidence.

I’ll note that he is not a loose cannon. That’s not how it works in Russia and Medvedev (when he was president, cynically callled Medve-Putin by Russian friends of mine) is in the inner circle in Kreml. His role is the agressive one bellicose one after Zhirinovski died (and unlike Zhirinovski he is an insider), showcasing RU geopolitical ambition and testing the waters for reactions. While we joke about his vodka consumption, he isn’t actually a joke. He just says the things that Putin cannot, that is his role.

Election time in Russia and they are at war. I susepct Kreml wants an excuse to mobilise larger segments of the population and make it a Great Sacred war for Rus.
Makes you wonder how many billions have been sent to Israel that were originally channeled for Ukraine.
