(Yes, still relevant)

Yes, of course, before anyone thinks the thought of asking such a question; almost inevitably that has lead to Russian civilian losses despite me not having seen them documented yet (I mean, north Korean ballistic missiles flying randomly into a town will probably do that). No one in their right mind would question the military necessity of strikes on the largest Russian munition depots though, so obviously legal and necessary attacks.

I’ll note that the Russian spin doctors also known as the actual governors of these regions, spin the same impossible yarn that would embarras Comical Ali/Baghdad Bob (this yarn from today):

Ukrainian statement

A gift for those who refuse to open twitter because of Musk and thus can’t read such statements:
“Defense forces of Ukraine hit two military arsenals of the armed forces of the Russian Federation

Tonight, the Tikhoretsk arsenal in the Krasnodar Territory was hit. This object is one of the three largest ammunition storage bases and is one of the key ones in the logistics system of the Russian troops. According to available information, at the time of the attack, another echelon was on the territory of the arsenal, which delivered at least 2,000 tons of ammunition, including from the North Korea. The Podlyot radar station, which detected air targets in the direction of the arsenal, was also targeted.

*In addition, the Security Service of Ukraine struck the 23rd arsenal of the Main Artillery Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation near the settlement of Oktyabrskiy, Tver Region. Fire and detonation are recorded in the areas of both military arsenals. *

The tasks were successfully completed in cooperation with the units of the Defense Forces: the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, and others.
Combat work on important military targets of the Russian occupiers continues.”

Based on the time delay between that big fireball and the sound being detected on the video, I would estimate that they must have been 3km away. That is one hell of an explosion.

Yes, it’s likely the combined charge of north korean ballistic missiles with large warheads and thousands of artillery shells and old fashioned iron bombs. It’s thousands of tons of ammunition detonating in multiple explosions. So it’s very, very big indeed !
