Did he? Do you feel disrespected? I don’t. Maybe if a born fucking winner like Sadio having a strop because he didn’t start against United hurts your feelings, you need to have a think about what characters you do want in the team you support.
Stewie Downing wouldn’t have been arsed if the manager put him on the bench for a big game. Maybe we need a few more like that?
We don’t have to overdramatize, but also not negate/ignore. It was a crap reaction and we move on. They can do it inside the dressing room, or more appropriately in Klopp’s office or anywhere face to face.
I think it’s the context that gets to some. We won, all three starting forwards scored. Great performance by the side, real good win. But Mane seems more bothered by his own lack of playing time. It doesn’t look good.
It does, unfortunately. It’s a bad reaction, in public or behind the scenes. Doesn’t mean something is broken inside. We don’t have to ignore it or attack Sky cameras for showing it. We can deal with it, it happens everywhere from time to time. Crap reaction, we move on.
No it doesn’t. But the reaction is disproportionate to what he did. He has disrespected Klopp. He has disrespected his teammates. He has disrespected the fans. He has disrespected the sport. The memory of Nobby Stiles. The continent of Africa. His mum and dad.
It was a lad who desperately wanted to play being fucked off with his boss. He probably regrets it today. Klopp doesn’t seem arsed. Let’s not fuel the hysteria.
Mane still played a lot, a lot of football this season. Salah moaned a bit lately when he was taken off, the armband thing, etc. It’s not massive problems, but it’s out there, it happened and that’s it.
I thought Mane played one of his better games for a while last start and he gets rewarded by being dropped for the biggest game of the season. I get he was pissed but that was a shitty reaction. Childish. How could anyone not want to celebrate with Klopp after a win?
End of the day the manager makes the decisions and he was totally justified as our front three put 4 of the 8 shots on goal away and one of the 8 led to us scoring anyhow.
Wouldn’t say we have been that clinical in months.
What the hell was that today, so wild, trying to do things 200mph an hour. Gets the assist through good pressing, but what the hell was that just two seconds before? Literally shoot a pass into Bobby’s mid section and hope for a one-two?
Sadio Mane in one sentence, so energetic, sometimes too energetic for his own good, so athletic, so able, but in the meantime also capable of some really painful to watch stuff.
Seems since covid he’s lost a yard of pace so he struggles to beat a man… This appears to have knocked his confidence so everything is bad… Him and Bobby are huge problems really, when Jota doesn’t play our front 3 don’t work any more.
Hope a summer off does help him reset himself because I’d be massively embarrased if I disrespected my manager in public then played that badly the next game when I get my chance.
