Oh come on, just enjoy the moment.
He tried very hard today but gave away possession a lot.
He’s very frustrating to watch at the moment, no doubt about it, but it is understandable. He radiates the aura of a player who is a born winner but mightily disappointed with himself for not reaching his extremely high standards. He’s trying so hard to make it right that he disrupts everything that made him the player he is. I don’t think Senegal have any international obligations this summer, so I hope he uses the vacation to fully recharge his batteries and be the best version of himself again.
The guy needs a month away from football
I don’t think his effort can be questioned, I do think his movement isn’t what it was.
I think the point for me was, I fully accept he can have a dip in form/confidence… I said many times with a bit of a rest he will regain his groove… I would have had the patiance to wait for him to get it going again… But…
That faith/support is gone when he acts like a petulant child for his manager in public.
And even worse, if you are going to act the prima dona by fucking god back it up next you play, which he didn’t.
It’s not like you to be all precious about something. It’s this type of shit that gives the media so much power over us. I ask who needs to grow up?
Probably because Mane and Bobby have pretty much failed to deliver since Jan and are the prime reasons we are in this position. They need to do better via actions on the football pitch, not petulance off it.
As I said it’s both actions together which frustrates, not one or the other.
One isn’t any of your business and is dealt with easily by the boss. The other is a problem the boss has to work on and is very frustrating for all concerned.
Trying too hard as is often the case with someone who is way out of form. He is quality and I think he will come again but probably not this season. Looks to me like he needs a break from footie and this summer he is actually going to get one.
What a silly statement, nothing we discuss on here is really “our business”, yet we discuss everything.
I can be disappointed in Mane for both and state it so…
Guess I never forget that despite it all every single player at this club is;
a) Paid astronomical amounts to play football
b) Are privileged to play for us
One thinks a statement is silly so goes ahead and makes even sillier ones. Bravo!
That doesn’t take the human side away from it. It isn’t a persistent discipline issue or something. He apologized to Klopp. What more can get do?
It’s okay if he couldn’t perform the next game after that. The next game shouldn’t become the only judging factor for the player to ‘prove’ his actions were justified. Neither playing good in this game can be used as a means for justification of his actions.
Shit happens, you react at times. If Klopp isn’t making much issue out of it, we can let it go as well IMO.
And this right here, is the clux of the matter. Klopp see it as a non issue, so fans have no need to be harping on about it - It’s been delt with in house and the matter is closed so fans should drop it as well
Of course there is a human side, really not sure why the fume. Mane (and Bobby also) have massively disappointed me since January… Two of my favourite players by the way.
When you as a team have experienced the injuries we have had and are starting basically your 5/6/7th choice CB pairing which changes week in week… You are going to conceed goals.
So to my point, guess what I expected? Two of our senior forwards to pull their socks up and help the team more and deliver… Since Jan the two of them have had around 160 shots and scored less than 10 goals… I don’t feel that is good enough personally. Look at the games of Newcastle and Leeds as prime examples, we squandered chance after chance to put the games to bed then ended up conceeding nervy goals… It’s my personal view that the kids at the back have had to deal with more pressure because of our senior players not delivering. So for me thats massively disappointing.
Then for Mane specifically he acts out (a none issue as you say Klopp has dealt with it) it adds to the disappointement but is part of the talking point of Mane’s huge drop in form.
Anyway again, not sure the fume… I am allowed to be disappointed and frustrated, and even allowed to think Mane is a bit of a dick to give it billy big balls to his manager, then squander a piss easy chance the game after. I’d rib my mates if they did the same, but thats it a bit of rib… Hyperbole city this forum at times.
Just because Klopp has said it was no big deal doesn’t mean it wouldn’t. We know from past examples how much of a disciplinarian Klopp is for the respect part of things. Forcing Milner, Henderson and Trent into confrontations on the side after they’ve unhappily tried to avoid the handshake after subs before. Those examples he dealt with there and then as the game was going on and he couldn’t let his authority and respect be questioned. Guarantee Mane got the scariest hairdryer treatment when they all got back to the changing rooms. Not sure why people are trying to argue it isn’t important, even if it was dealt with there and then and that is the end of it, I guarantee that shit pissed Jurgen off!
no doubt.
the issue isnt whether it got to Klopp.
the issue is how it hasnt been left behind now, its gone, done, over.
guys had all sorts of obstacles infront of him i cant be bothered going over, 2 to go this season, lets see it out and see where we are ion August after hes had a proper break.
if he does it again in the next few games, its probably worth discussing further, but now its over, the only person who should be able to drag this further is Mane himself if he pushes it again.
had a screaming match with a few teammates on the weekend over ingame issues.
it wont come as a suprise that we still had a laugh after the game.
I may do that on a regular basis
So what?
This is soo childish, Klopp did this, Klopp did that, grow up!
