Yet he’s had arguments in public with Milner, Trent and Henderson when they’ve attempted to fail the shows of respect Klopp insists on. Klopp is everyone’s best mate but he’s also the boss its a very fine line. You don’t see eye to eye with your best mate other something you can sulk and ignore each other for a bit and then have a laugh together later. As the boss the authority to make the decision, even if they don’t like it, is still only yours. You have to knuckle down on that for squad harmony so everyone knows its not one rule for one and a different rule for someone else. Fair, even, everyone demanded to show the same level of respect regardless of the circumstances. Then people never feel like they’re being singled out or targeted unfairly.
Yes, because that is what a relationship of authentic trust allows. How does this pattern of not being concerned with publicly engaging with his player’s strops suggest that he would be different behind closed doors with Mane than he was publicly?

Klopp insisting on showing him the respect sounds just so wrong. He definitely is better than that. Respect is earned and the players have tremendous respect for him for sure. An instance of apparent disrespect doesn’t change that. He has apologized to Klopp, who has accepted it. I loved what @Redbj wrote -
