Serie A Discussion

I am quite surprised that Napoli key players like Osimhen and Khvicha have seen not much interest

Probably because nobody can be fucked talking to De Laurentiis.

Pulisic made his debut for Milan yesterday and had a stormer, created their first goal and scoring a brilliant second. It makes every misplaced pass from the Ukrainian even funnier

Didn’t Bayern sign their CB?

Lukaku apparently headed to Rome on a loan deal if details can be worked out. His career has taken such a weird turn, he is gone from being hyped as the next big thing not that long ago to seemingly not particularly wanted by anyone. Appears to have burned a lot of bridges.

Should never have come back to the PL when he left.

His conduct this summer has been really odd. I think he’s always been a bit sensitive, explaining why when things start going bad for him they go bad quickly, but he’s really fucked himself this year. Even after a disappointing return last season Inter were trying to keep him and this is what he had claimed was his preferred situation, but once they finally got agreement with Chelsea over it Rom totally disappeared. It has been reported that neither he nor any of his reps returned any calls from Inter or chelsea for nearly a week and even when other Inter players reached out to see what was going on he ignored them. Eventually Inter got pissed off, understandably, that they publicly announced they had given up and were moving on.

Back to Chelski next year for paltry sum of 130m?

He had already alienated Inter tifosi by opening discussions with Juventus (particularly after complaining about racial abuse from Juve fans), so for Inter management to come back to the table for him was already quite the reach. That door is now closed permanently I suspect.

But the weird element in all of this now is that I had the impression Mourinho had become rather frustrated with him as well. On the other hand, Lukaku did have some of his best seasons with him.

Several years ago I did that sitcom thing where I went on a date with someone only to be told indignantly by her at the end of the evening that we’d been on a date years before and she was just waiting to see how long it would take for me to realize.

That’s how Pulisic is going to respond when Chelsea try to buy him again in the summer with no recognition that they’ve only just got his first transfer fee off their books.

They have both been so many places now that I dont know where this would have been. His first season at Utd?

Twice now?

First time was when he wanted to return to Chelski and now again?

The one thing that I’m constantly fascinated with about Serie A is the work of the DOFs in constructing squads. IMO the Italian DOFs are the best in the world by a country mile.

The diversity and complementarity of the talent in the squads is quite amazing; especially among the top teams but also in the smaller teams like Sassauolo or Empoli…

He’ll be happy to be back at his “dream club” for “unfinished business” especially when he’ll see paycheck field on his contract.

Yeah, they forgave him for the Chelsea return, and then he was in discussions to move to a bitter rival. He appears to be truly despised now.

Lovable and respectful chap. I still vividly remember those tifosi banners when he joined Chelsea.

If this all comes off, I am going to make a point of watching the Roma at Inter match in late October.

Let’s just hope tifosi wont go overboard with a vile shite like death threats etc…

Roma means dropping a level, but also continuing in a side that doesn’t play with a lone striker, which stylistically stuits Lukaku. The best he played in his career was when he had at least one partner in attack around him. Abraham’s gone cold and Belotti is… Belotti. Who knows what happens with Roma and Mourinho in the last year of his contract there though.

Anyone watching the Napoli Lazio game?
