Serie A Discussion

Conte is an excellent domestic coach. Title wins in his first season at clubs who had come 7th, 10th and 10th the season before.

Absolutely.

It’s just the shitshow which starts from the second season.

Maybe it’s to do with the club he chooses. Maybe it’s the sort of players that he prefers which are at odds with the long term vision of the clubs.

I’d like to think he would tone down quite a fair bit were he to join a more stable club like Bayern , Liverpool etc. But with his history of conflict, the ship probably has sailed way back.

Andrei Rublev died for this.

Saw a flag that said ‘Goodbye Manchester, hello trophies’ at the parade in Naples yesterday.

Imagine Napoli clowning on you for a lack of trophies.

Gasperini is taking over at Roma, 3-year deal.

Seems like an odd move, figured he would end his career with Atalanta. I guess Roma has a certainl call (and probably more money).

Allegri in through the revolving door at Milanello

Embattled owners bringing in new manager notorious for thinking the solution to any problem on a football pitch is demanding him owners buy him a new player - I wonder if they are shaping up for a couple of big moves?

Heard a weird rumour the other day that Klopp was in for the Roma job.

As if. I mean the Friedkin group own Roma.

It’s already been denied by his agent. Even Klopp intimated something about not coaching again during a video where he spoke about his Japanese players (if I remember correctly), though it looked like an honest slip of the tongue.

Gasperini at Roma, though… If he’s up for it, it will be an interesting one. I like him a lot, his football is great, both pleasing on the eye and adaptable in terms of defensive organisation when needed.

Milan has lost themselves

When’s the last time they found themselves?

Apart from that league title.

:joy:

Well they did under Pioli…
The Alegri choice is quite a curious one as is the decision on discarding Maldini and going for. Zlatan

Simone Inzaghi to leave Inter and take charge of Al-Hilal according to Romano.

Inter supposedly only had a single fan waiting to greet them at the airport when coming home.

Very odd, unless he just really felt he needed a change. A frustrating season for Inter, basically finishing 2nd in everything but the Coppa, but I really cannot see how the club will progress rather than slip with the change. Who is in the frame to take over?

Cesc Fabregas, Roberto De Zerbi, Christian Chivu and Patrick Vieira have been speculated as possible replacements.

Completely forgot about De Zerbi

Don’t forget that’s it Ze Derbi on Saturday.
