Should GermanRed be taken off match thread duties?

Club should send me a winners medal :1st_place_medal:

I went through this competition like a hot knife through butter.

Clearly our results are based on 90% match thread opener, 5% Jürgen’s tactics and 5% players skills and effort.
We are lucky to have so many talented match thread openers at this time.

OK so you had a great season. Are you now going to pretend you have a finger injury from typing to force a transfer?

From today’s BBC gossip column:

Liverpool have braced themselves for a massive transfer bid for regular match winner German Red, with Newcastle, Manchester United and Barcelona all interested. The Anfield side will consider offers of £80m or more- they consider him to be at least as good as Harry Maguire.

I think you overlook the importance of @Mascot’s post-match threads which sadly have been slipping in recent games. Hoping it is just tiredness after a long and gruelling season and he can rediscover his form after a break in the offseason

Apparently he had showdown talks in which he hopes the club understands that it has been his dream always to start match threads for redcafe.

@redalways is clearly shite given the result of the Spurs match. Sell him.

Didn’t you have something like a ten game winning run up to that match though?

No idea what the rules are, but surely an unbeaten record counts for something.

You made me curious so I had to look it up. @Iftikhar took the Leeds thread, so I’m on 9 at best.

I’d say that’s a very solid record.
You were whinging about whingers though, so there is that to consider.

Think I’m with @Mascot, going to take a break from match threads after this season.

Well deserved. You certainly did a great job at an important stage of the season.
Get a good rest, recharge your batteries and come back next term with renewed vigour.
Maybe have a look at that Spurs thread and see if there’s anything you can work on.

‘Three points, no injuries, all I ask. Oh and no whining please.’

Spot any areas for improvement?

@wyld.at.hrt don’t forget to start the CL final thread soon after the game tomorrow.

There are many glory hunters acting like hyenas in this place.

It’s time to find another person to step up for the league threads. I quite clearly didn’t get us over the line, and frankly, I think I’d much rather like to stay out of match threads from now on.

Did the FA Cup and the last two league games. I am on fire once again and will dominate the league next season.

Just like 2019-20. It’s written in the stars. We just lost the league by 1 point, and signed a young player from Fulham. Everyone knows what’s going to happen next.

Yeah, you gave us some great games at crucial stage when some of the regulars were fatigued. Thanks for the memories.:star_struck:

I think its time for a rethink on the in match threads. Maybe close them at kick off to stop the toxicity. I don’t look during the match because I would be tempted to tell certain posters to fuck off, and thats not really any good for me or them.

Of course you can ignore or scroll past certain posts, but we all engage in what we disagree with to some extent.

Or just avoid them? No need to stop everyone else’s fun.

My personal approach, aided by @GermanRed’s kind generosity/masochism.
