Stefan Bajcetic

- Nationality: Spanish
Signed from Celta Vigo in January, Bajcetic was quick to move into U18 football gaining 204 minutes across four appearances. The Spanish U17 international will likely start the season at full back but views himself as a central defender, so expect that move to happen towards the middle of the campaign. A cultured and technical player, Bajcetic was a priority signing for the Reds with the defender expected to progress well through the youth system.
I don’t think he would have as much the impact at the back.

Excellent news. With that issue settled, he can now fully focus on his football and further development. Hopefully it will help him, all the luck lad!
2 seasons ago I think, or maybe 1.5 because he was a Jan signing. He was 16
Yes, he signed in Dec 2020 so has now been here for 2 years
What do you think Sweeting, I don’t think I can see him as a central defender but maybe it’s because he is 18 and still has a frame of a 18 year old, SvB always just looked like a lanky kid but he has added a lot of bulk.

I’ve been a lot more impressed with him at DM than I ever was at CB. I think that’s a permanent move.
Was his first run out at DM in preseason? Very impressive how quickly he has adapted to it.
He started to move into midfield a bit more at the back end of 2021/2022 - he would move between the two roles. At U21 level I think he only ever played in midfield.
He certainly looks like he can kick on, maybe a bright spark from this season.
