Nobody normal dumps European football, any competition. Regardless if you’re Real Madrid or Brighton. It’s better to be in Europe than not. You only hear it from part of fans (which is weird because European football is great fun for fans).
Yeah, you know who my post is aimed at
I’m sort of glad his dad is from Serbian, he isn’t the usual off to Barca or Madrid type.
Stefan Bajcetic vs Everton
• 26/34 (76%) passes
(5 ball recoveries
4 ground duels won
3 long balls completed)
• 2 chances created (=1st in game)
• 51 touches
• 1/2 dribbles
• 1/1 aerial duel
• 7 tackles attempted (1st)
• 1 clearance
Absolutely phenomenal. What a talent
His passing isn’t always successful but one thing I noted especially once we went 2-0 his passing was always the correct one, not always successful but more often than not it was the right one*
*bar he should have put it to Jota when it was 4 v 3
Yep should have gone to Jota, as for me it would have been on Jota’s stronger foot, whilst the pass to Mo made it easier for Tarkowski to get a challenge in as he took it with the wrong foot.
However, Stefan was outstanding and a leading light, love watching his committed tackles and he did one outside of the foot turn and just left Doucoure marking his shadow.
Top young player cool calm and tenacious.
Deserves a better contract
Looked pretty good on the ball tonight
I wonder what Thiago made of Bajcetic performance tonight.
Is he a fan
Didn’t he grow up in Spain though…
Pretty sure he already extended his contract last month?
40k a week.
2027
Liverpool: Teenage midfielder Stefan Bajcetic signs new deal until 2027 - BBC Sport
Vigo, which yes may have the influence but his whole family won’t be chirping up in his ear every five seconds about going to Madrid.
His dad only really played for Celta De Vigo it seems, love how he was almost born in Hong Kong.
Yep he may have but he needs a new one with the status he has now in the team
Don’t rush it.
I’m curious to see what this guy is like in his favoured position!
He was fantastic last night. Everton are shit but Bajcetic was probably up against their best players in Doucoure, Onana and Iwobi and he didn’t struggle with their athleticism.
His reading of the game is excellent. He has the knack for tackling, even when he doesn’t win the ball he tends to hold a player up or at least make it difficult for them.
He’s a 433 style midfielder all day long, unlike some of our other talented young players there aren’t any questions about where he fits in, and it looks like he can cover two of those positions.
Very promising.
Klopp commented in the version of the post-game I saw last night about having used him at 6 and more recently at 8, but never like this before (presumably talking about being on the left) and was thrilled by easily he adapted. The ability to just rotate a player around depending on need while still being able to play like that is so incredibly valuable.
