Maybe like last season he can come in tail end of the season to boost our run in for a quadruple
I hope he regains his pre-injury form. It’s so difficult to bounce back from a lengthy injury.
It’ll be interesting, where he stands when he gets back seeing as since he’s been out two of his age group in McConnell and Clark have broken through. Despite the perception that Baj is more established there wont be a big difference in experience among the 3 of them.
The thing in his favour is that neither Clark or McConnell are naturally inclined to sit deeper,
Honestly, no 19 year old is and so dont see McConnell on much different a learning curve there than Baj himself had. And Baj played as many of his senior games further forward as he did in the 6.
There will be less than 20 games after the NT break. I expect Bajcetic to get the odd minutes (5-10) in some of those. Will be useful to revive his muscle memory.
Impossible to know what the pecking order would be now. Other kids in his position have been injury free, training with the first team basically all season, playing games, they have rhythm.
He might not be needed or you could have other more senior players ahead of him for a specific role.
Obviously every bit of good news helps, of course we welcome with open arms if anyone of the players who haven’t been ruled out for the rest of the season, are back and can be involved. The likes of him and Doak.
The rest is up to them and the competition.
Bajcetic himself was one of the rare little positives from last season, playing in a largely underperforming side. Had good games and less good games. All normal at this stage. Played as a #6, played as an #8.
Now, he had a long break and we had to work on his physique. Let’s first see what’s his level and then obviously pre-season will be important and the next coach will decide if he’s with us.
To be fair Clark really is more of a replacement for the likes of Maca, Dom and Jones when he is back.
McDonnell has done Bajectic’s role but just not to the level we saw with Bajectic. I see him as cover for Endo.
Howard Webb has really got under his skin.
Taking muscle growth to a whole new level this.
Either that or he’s been on the same training regime as Grealish.
It’s just the Princess of Wales trying to improve herself…
