I Hope they have a mealworm farm nearby as he claims it is his main source of protein and that they are very tasty!

Sorry ignore my post I misread yours I thought you were talking about Andrich.

Going back where he started.

He’s 32.

Henrique Araujo from Benfica to Arouca on loan.
Rafa Mir from Sevilla to Valencia on loan.
Reuell Walters from Arsenal to Luton on a free.
Cameron Archer from Sheffield United back to Villa for €16.6m.
Donny van de Beek from United to Girona for €500k.
Gabriel Osho from Luton to Auxerre on a free.
Zuriko Davitashvili from Bordeaux to St-Etienne for €6m.

That is cheaper than Shef Utd signed him for. I know there was reported to be a buy back clause, but its very rare you see them result in the selling club making a loss on the deal. I assume there was some clause related to relegation that made it cheaper?

It’s almost like he was on loan at Sheffield United for a season and Villa pocketed a €5m profit.

Ngal’ayel Mukau from Mechelen to Lille for €5m.
Joe Rothwell from Bournemouth to Leeds on loan.
Jan-Niklas Beste from Heidenheim to Benfica for €8m.

Alessandro Zanoli from Napoli to Genoa on loan.
Roberto Pereyra from Udinese to AEK on a free.
Matteo Perez Vinlof from Bayern to Austria Vienna on loan.
Nik Prelec from Cagliari to Austria Vienna on loan.
Sergio Gomez from City to Sociedad for €9m.
Moussa Djenepo from Standard Liege to Antalyaspor on loan.
Gustaf Nilsson from Union SG to Club Brugge for €6.4m.
Franco Carboni from Inter to River Plate on loan, €500k fee.
Renato Veiga from Basel to Chelsea for €14m.
Nicolo Cambiaghi from Atalanta to Bologna for €10m.
Jacob Greaves from Hull to Ipswich for €21.5m.

That’s an interesting move. He looks very classy.

Ipswich continue their excellent transfer window - although I’m not as keen on them signing Delap.

The two lads who went back to Villa - Archer and Philogene - would have been great for Ipswich.

Villa bringing back Philogene and Archer make me think this was yet another way of getting around PSR.

They “sell” Archer and Philogene, banking the cost of those sales against PSR. Then a year later they resign them for close to the same price they bought them for, an agreement in the inital sale, and spread the cost over 5 years.

It’s basically loaning a player out but done in a way to manipulate financial regulations.

Speaking of Villa:

I wonder if those kids they’re bringing in will get a chance but I’m impressed with this one. Onana will be a huge player, even if I’m not sure he’s cut for the best of the best.

I’d say that’s a good move by Villa, yeah.

Malick Junior Yalcouye from Goteborg to Brighton for €7m.
Mehdi Taremi from Porto to Inter on a free.
Alessandro Buongiorno from Torino to Napoli for €35m.
Mattia Zanotti from Inter to Lugano for €2.5m.
Liam Delap from City to Ipswich for €17.8m.
Jiri Letacek from Banik Ostrava to Getafe for €2m.
Troy Parrott from Tottenham to AZ for €4m.
Aboubakary Koita from St-Truiden to AEK for €3.6m.
Augustine Boakye from Wolfsberger to St-Etienne for €3m.
Gaetano Oristanio from Inter to Venezia for €4m.
