Summer Transfer Window 2021

We’ll see, but also convinced Klopp would get more out of him than Mourinho too as Klopp would take him on a level or two further.

He’s playing fine for us the way he’s playing at Roma, running, pressing, passing, assisting as well as the goal. Just because he’s tall doesn’t mean he isn’t able to do or learn the other aspects!

Nah I don’t think so. Klopp can’t magic up a load of crap, open teams like he’ll be facing in Serie A.

Half decent attacking players have run riot in that league over the last few years - Luis Muriel is averaging a goal an hour over the last two seasons or something equally ridiculous.

Good move for him, good for Roma, but not a big opportunity missed by us.

Worked OK with unlocking Salah. But as I said we’ll see. Pointless to argue it now.

No relevance whatsoever. We’ve already seen Abraham in the premier league and whilst he was poaching a few goals he wasn’t running around pressing, creating chances, skinning people, because the standard is much higher.

…just like Salah? In fact for the same team! A promising young attacker not really given enough time and belief in him by Chelsea goes to Italy where he’s able to show a more expansion game and prove his doubters wrong. I’ve got total faith that any improvement under Mourinho to Abraham would be maximised exponentially under Klopp.

That’s actually a surprising one. They only brought him back from loan this summer and it appeared it was done with a view to playing him. He’s played every game this season in competition with Dest for the RB slot and started yesterday’s game. He came off after an hour and was seemingly sold within minutes of hitting the bench

It’s interesting because Barca obviously needed a midfielder (and it needs more balance from time to time at least), couldn’t get one and then opted to play Roberto back in midfield more often. Now, who knows who will share game time with Dest at RB. Maybe they saw an opportunity to raise some money from Emerson, play Roberto between RB/CM and simply use a youngster (don’t know who?) to provide extra backup at RB.

Yeah, I really have no idea. Especially galling for Roberto after scoring their opener yesterday with a nice run into the box from midfield.
