Summer Transfer Window 2022

Freuler can be a good move for them. He’ll add defensive stability to their game once he gets used to the pace of the league. I just wonder why they’ve waited that long to finalise that move… it’s one full pre-season lost to allow him bedding in more comfortably.

I had him as one of my ones to watch for Everton before the 21/22 season but he’s been a totally different player in first team football - at U23 level he didn’t reply on lace, he had technique and liked to play between the lines. Don’t think he can do that at PL level, he just isn’t good enough.

No idea what Chelsea think they can do with a pace merchant getting 4 goals a season but hey if they want to spunk £40m up the wall I’m not going to stop them.

Tuchel seems to favour a 3-4-2-1 formation so where exactly is Gordon going to play? For that two behind the striker they have about five options already and it’s not even really where Gordon plays. If they go to a front 3 surely he’s Sterling is going to be first choice out on the left.

Odd move but interesting to see how Everton handle it. They’ll be desperate not to look like they’re selling off another one of their own and another attacking player after Richarlison left. But, they must know £40m+ is way more than he’s actually worth and they surely need to recoup some more funds after bringing in Onana and McNeil.

From Atalanta to Forest. It’s a little sad, but money talks in the end. Good player, very good price I think.

Very good pick up for Forrest.

They seem to be picking up some good players at excellent prices.

I always hear commentators Pervert Stupid Ian…

Yep. My brains are cheese.

Interesting one. He’s played mostly at RB for PSG, which wasnt a great fit for either party. Presumably he’ll be playing CB for West Ham.

What’s happened to him? I remember he was doing quite well at Dortmund before Haaland came in?

Even with the comment by TTT that seems a lot of money for a guy who has spent most of his career playing Championship football, and hasn’t established himself as a PL midfielder yet.

That’s a shit argument from TTT. Of course it’s different for a commercially successful club to spend 40 million on a player vs a club who has missed out on 25 years of comparable commercial revenue. And that’s even before pointing out they have already bought an entire first team of new players this summer.

Wolves laughing their heads off right now.

All of a sudden selling Solanke and Brewster for 20m goes from being great business to standard business.

If that deal goes through it will take their spending to £150m.

Chelsea: £167m
West Ham: £112m
Arsenal: £107m
Cheaty and Spurs: £105m

Is that net spend?
