Summer Transfer Window 2023

Romano:

BREAKING: Everton agree deal in excess of €30m to sign Beto from Udinese. Details being discussed then medical in UK for Beto if all goes to plan — it’s close, here we go soon.

“Here we go soon” mate you’ve got a catch phrase stick to it.

Where did Everton find 30 million euros from?

30m for a 10 goal a season striker at Serie A. Everton are being ripped off here.

That’s like 50 goals for them.

The great Tosun disaster comes immediately to my mind.

Tomas Vaclik from Huddersfield to New England on a free.
Thierry Small from Southampton to St. Mirren on loan.
Nathan Tella from Southampton to Leverkusen for €23.3m.
Cameron Archer from Villa to Sheffield United for €21.5m.
Ahmed Touba from Istanbul Basaksehir to Lecce on loan.
Jorge Carrascal from CSKA Moscow to Dynamo Moscow for €5.5m.

Again a very good move by Southampton. They’ve got enough firepower to get themselves back to the premier league. And getting in cash now helps them to make bigger inroads in the transfer market next year.

They raised €176m through sales so far this summer, but spent €12m on one player, two transfers on a free and three loans in.

But there will be other payments being made off the back of those sales - such as that sell on clause with Lavia :see_no_evil:

Ianis Hagi from Rangers to Alaves on loan.
Kieran Tierney from Arsenal to Sociedad on loan.
Mohammed Kudus from Ajax to West Ham for €43m.

They’ve also got the parachute payments to make any short fall and seem to have started well enough.

Wasn’t he supposed to be better than Robertson according to many geniuses out there?

Another one who lacks any kind of intensity in how he plays.

Really quality player but yeah blows so hot and cold.

Also doesn’t particularly do well with injuries.

Well that was the perceived wisdom of the Tartan Army. TBF, I’m surprised he’s been loaned out. He is a decent defender.

Arsenal have spent a lot the last couple of years and likely need to do something to help balance their books - raising revenue (sales) or trimming expenses (offloading wages)

Surprising they still haven’t found a buyer for Balogun.
