Nate should find some first-team football in Brendan’s back line.

I think this is a smart move for all concerned. Hopefully, Nat finally gets the minutes he deserves.

It also points to our thinking that we (will) have sufficient cover in defence?

Obviously if something happens Klopp judges Quansah higher than Nat for the “5th CB” role.

Hopefully after Nat’s loan we can finally sell him, while Quansah can maybe get some minutes in EL group stage and League Cup.

With good reason

It’s a good move for Philips, better than not playing at all. It still leaves us short of bodies in defence.

I can’t agree with the idea that it leaves us short of bodies in defence. Phillips played minimal games last season, 232 minutes across all competitions.

If Quansah could manage playing against Newcastle for 13 minutes without major issues, I think he’s more than a decent bet to take those minutes, and possibly more if needed. Would be useful for his development too.

Maybe that’s why it’s only til January. If we get a rash of CB injuries, we can have him back. And he’ll be a beautiful man then.

Brendan will polish off those rough edges. Maybe teach him the dark art of the Martin Skrtel shirt pull, too.

“Subject to international clearance” made me laugh.

The problem with these speedy players is their dodgy hamstrings but it could be so easily avoided with a comprehensive warmup and warm down

So Bayern are apparently looking at Palhinha, Chalobah and Gallagher. Christ guys just get Tuchel out of there.

Someone is getting ready to step in to the soon to be vacancy.
