We’ve seen this situation before.
As of now , the best bet are Chambers and Bajcetic. Playing Grav in CB will be a disservice. As will playing endo there. For various reasons.
Both chambers and Bajcetic aren’t upto full fitness yet.
I’ll cross that bridge when it comes if it does.

If you are referring to the season we lost Virgil, that was more of a wider issue than simply not having enough defenders.
We’ll get one of those hybrid CB/FB’s sooner rather than later, I feel.

Nah, don’t want that.
The problem is it wasn’t just Virgil that we lost that season. At 1 point we had Virgil, Gomez andMatip all out injured.
Looking at the current squad, Gomez is still there and still an injury risk. Konate has replaced Matip, but is also a risk to get a midium term injury, so that would then leave us with Virgil as our only senior CB and we are having to risk either playing people out of position (Robbo, Endo Grav or Bajcetic) or drop to Rhys Williams who last season was on loan to a League 2 club.

That season we also lost several midfielders and forwards at the same time, especially in the first half of the season. Poor results weren’t only a result of injuries to the defence.

And losing Virgil will affect us no matter how many CBs we have in our squad. On the same lines, just having Virgil would mean we would be so much better placed no matter who plays besides him. If I recollect we defeated Bayern at their home with Fab as CB.
Happy with what we have TBH. What has happened has happened in summer with Guehi and all. We have enough depth across other positions to cover for this one freak injury and it shouldn’t affect us much I feel.

Stefano Sensi has signed for Anorthosis as a free agent until the end of the season.
One of those gifted players very unlucky with injuries, enjoyed watching him for a few seasons when he was fit. Proper baller.
That sounds like a medical condition.
