Good player Anderson but I will be curious to see how he does in a possession heavy system. I actually think he would suit Liverpool much more, he’s good on the ball but he’s not really a small space technical guy it’s more about his power and energy. That works well in our system but Maresca is a “possession for the sake of possession” purist and I would have thought a technician would suit them a bit more.

Benja Cremaschi from Inter Miami to Parma for €4.5m.
Alejo Veliz from Tottenham to Bahia for €9m.

Watching him with England he is more like Rice in my opinion.

Looks like PSG are trying to upgrade all their back up wingers

Last season they were a bit short. Lee was used more in midfield. It’s a valid question for offensive players going there, but it’s also understandable why they’re such an attractive place right now.

PSG and Chelsea have decided to form a breakaway super league without waiting for other clubs to join, that’s why they each need to have enough players to field 5 teams.

Spurs paying £85m for Mateus Fernandes from West Ham, even players going from relegated clubs to bottom half sides commanding whopping fees now.

This is not what I expected! Tottenham aren’t messing around in this window.

What next? We sign someone from Tranmere Rovers for £60 million!!

I seem to remember a report that we felt value was to be had late in the window and that transfer fees would ease up a little. Spurs might be a test case for that as they have a lot of players to offload now that they’ve brought in van Hecke, Robertson, Fernandes, Dubravka and Senesi already.

I would image they are looking for at least 5 CBs to leave (they have 10 with van Hecke) and they are too heavy on forwards and strikers as they have currently 14. They’re going to have to start making some moves with players leaving, but the fees they get may be indicative of late window value.
