As long as it’s at the beginning of a tourney they can. Next one would be a good time, as I said most people will still be on 0 or 1 point so you wouldn’t be starting at much if any deficit.

Yep, you can choose Spurs also. However, I’ll now need to ask you and @cynicaloldgit to pick a second team as a tie-breaker in the event that Spurs don’t win.
Try to make it a different one from each other

I’m going to say no, but if it comes to it being needed you can select them again as your primary team in a future round.
In that case, my tie-breaker team is Manchester City.

i am thinking there doesn’t need to be a winner, its ‘Last Man Standing’ so to be a winner there has to be 1 person left. Then just keep a track of winners over the course of the year in a ‘winners club’ League table if you like.
If you do it with reserve picks or a points system you are not picking a winner, you are picking ‘least shit’, should that be recognised ha ha
At least that way it makes it more appealing to new members or people joining in later, a year from now you might only have 5-6 people in the ‘Winners Club’ some only on 1 win. so it makes it achievable to get on the board
It’s so if Iftikhar’s team also goes out then we can - hopefully - decide which of the three remaining players was the winner prior to beginning again.
I still like the idea of a league table. If it doesn’t work it doesn’t work, but let’s see.
To minimise your admin on this, could you setup google forms or similar? Otherwise you’re trawling through posts to get everybody’s teams? Or just a dedicated “team post only” thread?
Erm, it’s been fine so far honestly, but if we get a lot of new players in for future rounds I may look into something like that.
