Sound of White Noise of all Anthrax albums?! Really?! You might as well have replaced Master of Puppets with Reload!

Hey…its called an opinion

I just always preferred John Bush vocals to the style of Anthrax at that time to that of Joey Belladonna.

Having to choose between Ziggy Stardust and Blood on the Tracks is torturous.

Might not matter… ZS has such a commanding lead at the moment

I don’t even want to look.

Obviously, Ziggy Stardust was a major milestone, not just in music, but in popular culture.
Blood on the Tracks is the work of a genius at the height of his powers.

Clash beating GNR? Some of you have weird taste.

Really that’s the one you pick out?

Appetite is biggest selling debut of all time for a reason.
Clash were decent but not a patch on GnR

Erm…

Sales are not always a guarantee of quality.
The Clash were a cultural phenomenon, Guns and Roses just another hard rock band.

Just another rock band…wow

I could name one gnr song of the top of my head. The Clash a dozen at least.

I can’t say that I’m a frequent listener of either, even though I respect their works (also, hard rock is closer to my taste than punk rock), but Guns were a planetary phenomenon when they were at the top of their game. I don’t think it lasted too long but we’re talking about a band that routinely filled out their venues at one point (how many can boast to have filled Wembley to the brim, for example?).

Funnily enough, all of my friends who absolutely love The Clash also absolutely love Guns, especially the older ones. Maybe it’s a cultural thing, they always soaked up any single or album that had a distorted/overdriven guitar in it. That said, for my taste, neither comes to the conversation about which is the greatest album that I have heard but if I started giving out my suggestions, I’d probably get kicked out of this thread. :joy:

I’m still trying to process that I’m surrounded by a bunch of Eagles fans on here

How can one song make an entire album. Eagles. Sheesh

you and me both.

Not a huge fan of Pink Floyd , and would have probably picked the dark side of the moon if we were talking about a definitive pink floyd album.

Maybe next we do genre’s (including sub genre’s when it comes to it)
