The whole system is stacked against those who have done the right thingā¦i.e worked and contributed all their lives, payed into pensions to provide for their own futures etcā¦I was refused contribution based JSA because Iām in receipt of 2 small occupational pensions that are nowhere near enough to live on.
Youāre encouraged to save to take pressure off the state then they give you fuck all back when itās needed and fleece you for over a grand a week to lie in a bed all day in a care home.
Yeah I bet that is super tough. When I used to work away that was tough going but that was only a week or two at a time.
In my case, Iām not allowed to be home during the day, pretty much every day. As I currently work just a few miles away it works. I struggle on all sorts of levels working from home.
Yeah, that might have been an answer a while ago. Not now, I barely drink any alcohol and being honest all the pubs within my immediate area are rubbish. Buses, taxis maybe.
I can see me walking up mountains, surfing, rediscovering photography etc. to be honest. Iāll definitely keep busy.
