The whole system is stacked against those who have done the right thingā€¦i.e worked and contributed all their lives, payed into pensions to provide for their own futures etcā€¦I was refused contribution based JSA because Iā€™m in receipt of 2 small occupational pensions that are nowhere near enough to live on.
Youā€™re encouraged to save to take pressure off the state then they give you fuck all back when itā€™s needed and fleece you for over a grand a week to lie in a bed all day in a care home.

Yeah I bet that is super tough. When I used to work away that was tough going but that was only a week or two at a time.

In my case, Iā€™m not allowed to be home during the day, pretty much every day. As I currently work just a few miles away it works. I struggle on all sorts of levels working from home.

Canā€™t be having that. Partner needs talking too; perhaps they need to GTFO of the house during the day sometimes too?

Thatā€™s why pubs exist.

She works from home. Weā€™ve set up a hair salon in an extension to the side and to be fair sheā€™s flying. Business is very good.

Me going to out to work suits me better. Iā€™m more than a bit off retiring yet.

Yeah, that might have been an answer a while ago. Not now, I barely drink any alcohol and being honest all the pubs within my immediate area are rubbish. Buses, taxis maybe.

I can see me walking up mountains, surfing, rediscovering photography etc. to be honest. Iā€™ll definitely keep busy.

I could go full hippy and live in the van over weekends etc.

Then you have all the furlough addicts claiming their mental health is at risk because theyā€™ve been asked to do the job they were quite happy doing before Covid
