Today, my mate from our workplace (we works together in a workshop for disabled peoples) has did again said, that he have a aversion against Germany and the German national team due the German history (Second World War). @Bekloppt has did said, my mate are a “nutcase” (in German: “spinner”).
I can not understand my mate. And curiosm: My mate are not a foreigner, not a people with a foreign background. He is a German without a foreign background.
Tell him that there are a lot of countries in the world which have dark episodes in their history. We don’t have to hate France, Russia, Britain, Spain, Japan and so on just because of the crimes of the past.

Concentration camps and eugenics were not invented in Germany. In a decade of so no one will care (or even know) of WWI and WWII…
My mate hates Germany and the German national team, while he support England AND Scotland AND Republic of Ireland, maybe too Northern Ireland and Wales.
And he do not like Bundesliga, while he do support Liverpool FC AND Fulham FC AND West Ham United AND Newcastle United AND Portsmouth FC AND Coventry City AND Grimsby Town AND Rangers FC in Scotland. On my oponion, he is not a really fan.

I am a German with a Tamil background. I love Germany, thats my homecountry. And I loves this county although the far-right AfD leads in many polls for 2029 national parliament election. Therefore, i do want to emigrate from Germany, i do want to live in the Netherlands, in Arnhem near the German border. That are a politically left city. But my love to Germany remains.

It’s funny, he love the singer Leony, despite she is a German and like the German fourth-tier club DJK Vilzing (Regionalliga Bayern), because this club are based in Leonys home town Cham (Oberpfalz, Bavaria).
