@Dane I have no idea who removed that post in the CL team, but a moderator looked it and thought it should be removed. That’s often the easiest and quickest thing for moderators to do, it’s a judgement call, it’s trying to weigh up the best thing for the thread, and we have an expectation that when we do remove a post people just roll with it and accept it.
You weren’t called out, you weren’t banned and you weren’t bollocked. A mod just thought the best thing to was remove the post and try and stop an argument kicking off.
At the end of the day, it was just a post. The vast majority of posters here have had a post removed at some point, and very few find it such an affront to their rights that they feel the need to kick off about it in another thread.
So that’s it. Accept that a mod made a decision you don’t like, swallow it down like most other posters would, and get on with it. If that’s too much for you, you know where the door is.

Read this yesterday and refrained from comment as it’s essentially not my argument. And I’m not getting involved in why posts were removed, whether its justified or whatever.
I will comment on the last line, because its unfair.
The response could have and should have stopped short, somewhere at “stop an argument kicking off”
@Dane is a long-standing forum member. Since the TIA days. We don’t always agree, but he is a great member of this community. I think its highly disappointing that the last line of “knowing where the door is” is used in this context. Inviting a good member to leave because he disagrees with a decision?
Mods make decisions, we accept them…but we might not always agree with them. But how those decisions are explained or conveyed makes acceptance a bit easier.
I didnt like this method of conveying a decision.
And if I’m told to mind my own business, fine.
But the comment is there in public. Might have been a better PM.

He is welcome to disagree with decision, but as a long standing member Dane should be able to take the mildest possible bit of moderation without feeling to need to moan and continue the topic in the users thread.

Not in my opinion. It’s the same for anyone.
Moderation is incredibly light touch here, and mostly people are left to get on with it. Having a post deleted is no big deal.
