I never had any issue with Kopstar. Didn’t always agree with him, but found him a nice guy and generally a good poster.
I hope that whatever issues led to him leaving gets resolved and he finds his way back here in time, as the forum is definitely poorer for losing him.
Geez, he’s a grown adult who could resolve any problems he had with the forum at any moment simply by putting a few people on his ignore list.
Anyone would think he’d died the way this outpouring of grief is going. Chances are a break will do him good.
Generally a good poster but took things a bit too serious at times and a bit condescending.
Doubt too much will be achieved debating this much further.
If I am honest I am sure there are a few posters who think I am a dickhead. That’s part of being a community. You will naturally have friendships with some people and take a dislike to others.
I would be more concerned if people didn’t give a fuck one way or the other.

In any case I am always sad when people feel the need to step away from a online forum, Kopstar or anyone else because I never felt there is a need to win an internet debate. Some might feel that by giving the other party the last word in an online debate, is a show of weakness or concession of truth. But the fact is whoever has the last word on any debate in this forum, the earth will continue spinning, my seagulls will continue shitting and Bellingham will not be signing.

I don’t think so. He’s asleep in New Zealand most of the time, and let’s face it, that’s a lifestyle most of us would plump for, given the choice.
Kopstar is one of a small group of posters I’ve interacted with away from the forum, and IRL have always found him to be a thoroughly nice bloke, someone who actually takes an interest in aspects of your life and those close to you.
On the forum I think he probably plays devil’s advocate a bit often (lawyer to the bone lol) which sometimes gets misread, is perhaps too confrontational and has a hard time stepping away from a debate.
But I hope he comes back. And I think this forum generally would be a nicer place if before people posted they took a moment to consider that behind every screen name is another human being. Just because someone disagrees with you isn’t a reason to go to war against them.
