I try not to get too involved in those two threads, I can see myself getting banned there.

Why so many posters leave here?
Because they are fed up with banter about Indian food.
There are lots of reasons that people leave, but you could equally ask why do people join? We seem to have a pretty stable number of active users, so turnover must be relatively steady.
