You sound like my Naan, she was a pain too
And she didn’t like you either …
Chirpy soul aren’t you….
It’s funny reading arguments
Interesting as some would argue that disagreement, hostility and grief on here is deleterious to the whole general vibe.
had to search out the meaning for this.
I’ve always loved words
This is spot on we don’t all like each other and have different personas and opinions, but you get to know them after a while and accept them.
I would hate the forum to become too sanitised, fun and banter needs to be part of it.
If others watch and decide not to partake or leave the forum, that also happens in all forms of life/clubs/pubs etc. you can’t keep everyone happy.
I think the only poster I have been aggressive to is Walshy, looking back I may go over the top, so sorry Walshy, BTW I did like one post where you were your negative self but explained why and there was some positivity at the end.
words too long to search … haha copy & paste xxx
Yeah, Numpty is my fave
Just discovered this thread. Don’t know what’s going on but peace, love and happiness to all. I like the place and all the people here. It is way above average for engagement and friendliness for an Internet forum.
I don’t know how much we are actively trying to grow, but new posters are always welcome.
There are some really clever people here, and I learn stuff frequently. On a personal note I love talking crap about LFC and various other topics with my fellow reds.
I read back to see if there’s anything I’m missing. Livvy had a valuable perspective for all of us to think about how we come across, and how welcoming that might or might not be for a new person.
CoG is a diamond. If I was in the UK I would love to have a pint. I’d even let him take me to a swanky lunch as he seems a great sort to put the world to rights with.
Love to all. Top of the league baby
Recognition at last!
Let’s all embrace the spirit of aloha.
That was a very kind compliment. Not sure what else to say, but you know I can be wrathful and I have mood swings and many personality flaws.
And yeah. I feel a bit embarrased.
Don’t we all!
Raises guilty hand Whenever I remember to read a post I have previously written, which had some lenght, I almost always sigh at those glaring (some of them bizarre) grammar errors, and edit. At times I edit twice.
So guilty as charged, but I think I’ve spoken of my issue with writing previously to many of you. I have by various professors been asked and encouraged to write (some think I write well actually), and I always tell them the same; “have you seen how much red there is in my texts when I type fast”?. My professor in literature then looked at me and asked: “Have you seen the manuscripts truly good writers hand in to editing ? Some have far worse orthographic errors than yours, so it is not the issue you think it is”. So yes, I’ve been thinking of trying my hand on a novel for a few years, But still, it’s a bit embarrasing and it likely won’t go away without intense training; perhaps never.
But if the world is gonna end, will proper grammar SAve, the earth; then, huh?!
He’ll be gunning for you in the morning
Thanks !
I would pay to watch @cynicaloldgit in a ring against James Joyce.
