Actually… as a lad, our school used to play on Moss Lane pitch - which if it had been built at the time, was directly opposite the the Kirkby training ground. It also runs alongside a fast running stream that flowed into the River Alt… Many a time, had to wade into the water to retrieve the ball after some ‘yard dog’ type of centre half had booted his clearance into the water…

To my chagrin, my missus bought me a new laptop, because she said my old laptop is “embarrassingly slow”, “impossible to turn on” and “wheezes like it’s in the throes of death”.
I’m choosing to take these criticisms on face value, but I can’t seem to switch to dark mode on the new laptop (I knew something like this would happen). Any idea what I’m doing wrong?
