If the said topic had gone back on , really don’t see why the posts need to be deleted.
We had gotten the topic back on track. In the sense self moderated it ourselves.
People can’t have their posts deleted when they aren’t breaking rules just because certain ppl don’t like memes and gifs.
Plenty of posts I don’t like in the forum, best to ignore them and move pn.

Seems I had a post with a GIF deleted too - no notification, alert or reason, just gone.
Is one Mod overstepping here or is this a Mod Team decision? If it’s the latter, could somebody please share the criteria for when a GIF is permitted as a reply and when it’s not?

What makes a gif “on topic”??
The Trump gif used by @dalglish was plain stupid, not relevant and needed binning. His quicksand one was smart though to be fair.

The place is littered with this shit. The odd one, used with relevance is fine, but most are inane and unrelated to the topic discussed.
I doubt they are being deleted because of ppl not liking them? Its because the mods need to keep the place tidy?
