I remember that goal vividly
he’s only gone and got the build up play wrong though, Souness started his run from a bit deeper.
This better not be a harbinger of a bad result at Brighton! ![]()
Is it possible to stop people posting articles without naming sources?
This has been going on for a while and although I have pointed it out on a number of occasions, it still continues.
Obviously it’s important to know the source of an article in order to know whether it is serious and worthy of attention or the opinion of a random internet hack.
It’s also a potential copyright/fair attribution issue.
I can only agree. Posting articles without sourcing is rather sub-optimal and I have never understood why some do it. I treat such unsourced articles much like I treat political memes (ignore), unless I quickly identify the veracity of the information based on existing knowledge I have (which can happen from time to time).
And yes, it is a fair attribution issue. And also , even if you find it interesting, there is no pathway for you to read more from the authour, which is rather sub-optimal.
Look @Sithbare curry might taste shite but there is no need for you guys to dump it on poor innocent wildlife.
Maybe it escaped from the pot…!
So Mascot has banned a poster because his comments in the match threads annoy him. They don’t annoy me and no doubt a host of other posters. I agree with @odin_telamon ..time for this mod to go.
There should be room on a forum for a range of views and emotions and just because a mod has positioned himself at the opposite end of that range to the poster, that should not give him the right to misuse his authority…
I’m surprised they have time to ban posters while they are so busy deleting my GIFs ![]()
Just out of curiosity, who’s taken the short walk of the plank?
Jackbenimble called Mascot Peter Pan… a rather witty comment I thought.. lightened the gloom a little … at least for me ![]()
Jack was a knobhead, let’s be honest. Surprised he’s been allowed to post as long as he has because his only intention was to pop in matchday threads and wind posters up. Matchday threads serve for 1 purpose, to discuss the match, so either adhere to the rules of staying on topic or find something else to do.
I’ve been part of a few forums and this one is by far the most lenient, I’m actually surprised I haven’t picked up a ban or 2 yet despite how negative I can be (& yes I do acknowledge this).
Mascot fully has my support on this 1.
It’s not like he wasn’t warned.

So banning him should also help avoiding the Extreme Load thing. ![]()

Well said.
This probably sounds strange coming from me, but what else did said poster contribute to the community?
Other than relentless negativity in match threads, where else was he found on the forum? We take the piss when people show up with the sole intention to ask for tix…how is this any different?
It’s not a democracy, and there isn’t a vote.
When posters are clearly only here to sew discord, then we have to take action. We are incredibly lenient and bans are very rare.
I don’t think I’ve ever banned anyone, for the record.
The poster had already been informed that he was on thin ice, and his response is to keep poking, it’s clear his intention.
