Yeah, you are right, it will be difficult for them and we’d need to implode (which isn’t a thing of impossibility btw. It will all depend on injuries, or lack of imo) for them to catch up. Still, if we manage to bring the title home, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them finish second. I simply don’t trust Arsenal’s and Chelsea’s consistency resisting to a winning run from the cheaters towards the end of the season.

Anyway, hopefully we will be spared by severe injuries to key players. In that case, we should be able to bring it home. :crossed_fingers:

So back for City next week.

From what I read about it I would be surprised if the current issue would keep him out of the season. However, abdominal strains like this are difficult to judge and are prone to over estimating how well recovered it is leading to set backs. So this was something I raised last week as, especially it is already a recurrence, it is something that has to potential to ruin his season if they aren’t patient.

Poor LegoMan! It’s unfathomable how he has been able to field a team with these injuries let alone play such pure joyful football. David Moyes is surely going to have to pass on his ‘manager of the decade’ title at the end of the season.

A very good friend of mine who played pro Rugby League Mick Withers once missed 5 months of a season on abdominal strain which just would not clear up.

Yep, they are shit. You wake up and feel great. You gingerly warm up and feel great. You gradually increase intensity and eventually get to a full sprint and still feel great. And then you cough funny and are out for another 2 weeks.

The worse thing for the Arse to put a winning streak together… is that they are going into each game knowing they are a good hoard of points behind us… That in itself is massive pressure before a ball is kicked in the game, which only intensifies if the match doesn’t go to plan… it will drain the energy from the players legs, minute, by time wasting tactics minute !
Mentally, this alone will wear them down…
It is most definitely our title to lose now, and with us scoring winning goals, in the 91st and 93rd minutes of a game must have been absolutely soul destroying for them, their fans and any media that are trying to champion their cause…!

Music is great and can influence mood instantly, but dear me…

“He also rigged up speakers playing You’ll Never Walk Alone to prepare for what turned out to be a 4-0 defeat at Anfield in November 2021.”

This has to be one of the most nonsensical attempts in football history.

If you want to motivate and give your players a lift, you play them Bolt Thrower or Judas Priest, not this crap.

To his players he blasted out You’ll Never Walk Alone
Then got properly arsed with 4-0 for which he couldn’t atone
That’s the Legoman

His sense of music is as bad as his sense of motivation.

I think it’s genius. While he had them distracted by the music, he sent in that pick-pocket to go through the dressing room. :joy:

Hopefully they should be able to rally in in the 7th inning and get some lads on base.
