The Arsenal Thread

Do they even realise how annoying they come across? Fans constantly whining is to be expected (to an extend). But Arteta’s incessant moaning is embarrassing and not very motivating for players I would imagine.

Arteta has quickly become the most annoying opposing manager in the prem. He’s fucking self-absorbed prick who he hasn’t won shit at Arsenal. Have some humility.

I blame Alonso again for all Arteta’s delusions.

And that’s counting the Community Shield! :joy:

He’s given the opposition the team talk for the last 3 months.

I heard a comment at the weekend about them having to play match after match while we’ve not.

It’s actually quite interesting if you go through the form table and look at 5/10/15/20 games Arsenal are no higher than 3rd, it’s only when you look at 25 they move up to 2nd

Considering you’d suggest the title race has been over the last 10 games they sit in 10th, we are joint top with Newcastle. There has only been one team who could defeat us in the title race and that was ourselves, Arsenal may finish second but it’s not been a great season.

Maybe their scouting department are a bit confused.

Bought an AM and a DM to play as a striker. Maybe a CB next time.

I remember Jurgen somewhere mentioning the reason why we won the CL after losing out with all the Ramos nonsense was how Jurgen reacted immediately after the full time in the dressing room and that night. That sets the example and catalyst for next season.

The attitude Arteta is showing is that of a sore loser and that will trickle down his team. Just putting up points is not enough. Ofcourse they have progressed from where he started but he’s just not able to take him to next level. Infact they are reduced to a set piece side which once figured out won’t help them again next season. They might even have regressed from where they were a season ago.

Well, if they want to continue with the delusion, it’s their stance. Ain’t going to help if they don’t acknowledge that there were better sides this season and hence they have won things they have.

Arteta is suffering the same mind trauma Neville is. Neville expected Liverpool to fall off a cliff and crumble and now his mind cannot process this not happening. Likewise Arteta is his mind Arsenal were the crowned Champions if City faltered, Ciy faltering and Liverpool taking over instead has melted his mind.

Poor Troopz, he needs help to calm down

So, essentially, they have borrowed a tactic from Tranmere Rovers, circa 1998?

Think this is the best video from Syed   Having a time of the season - United fans. lol. Finishing 16th and look at their audacity

If Arteta thinks that Arsenal was the best team in UCL then let it be. It helps to relieve his butthurt.

That’s just in his teeny weeny mind but he can still rejoice in the real world fact that they are the best team in London, having won the mini PL.

No surprise then. PSG are, along with us, the best team in this season’s CL, just as Enrique said before the return game at Anfield.

Odds are that they’ll win it now, although it would grate to see the dirty Qatar reps finally getting what they’ve wanted for so long. Hopefully Inter can provide another surprise, and go all the way to the trophy. Fingers crossed for that!

I do think Arsenal are a very good team, seemingly trying to replicate Klopp’s approach in some areas with a false nine, two pacey wingers, and workhorses in midfield. I reckon they’ll be a lot stronger next season on paper, with a decent CF, and Zubimendi coming in, but it’s how the rest of the squad are feeling, how Arteta behaves in training and pressers, and whether everyone else who has been around the club up until that point can mentally reset and kick on.

If they can, I believe they will get over the line and win major silverware.

I think it may now be awkward for them. Despite City’s collapse this season, they are still in the hunt for 2nd place and it is easy to see them strengthen over the summer and compete for silverware again. If we also have a good summer and start the new season well, then Arsenal are going to have to improve quite a bit from where they are now.

I live in London. Dropped my daughter off at school today where the kids have been asked to wear red, white and blue to help celebrate VE day. An 8- or 9-year-old walked through the gate wearing a PSG top

I think Arteta talking to the media, and in the manner he is doing so… stating nonsensical facts that don’t mean shit… to me, seems as though it is just a Dress Rehearsal for his sit-down meeting with the club owners at the season end, in the hope it is piling enough bullshit onto his predicament, and it saves his job
