The Boxing and MMA thread

Paul is a result not the reason. As I said it’s bollocks. Perhaps Paul is the end result of where boxing has been heading since the 70s.

Apparently Andrew Tate had a fight this weekend and lost too :joy:

Tbh Joshua has no chance there whereas the second Usyk Fury fight was actually closer than I expected. Both had the other struggling at points, though Usyk is clearly the pinnacle of the heavyweight division post Klitschkos and better than Fury. A third fight might see Fury upset Usyk, though Usyk would be the clear deserved favourite.

Owing to the changes in personality/media presence of people the draw is now typically on wanting to see one person get fully humbled rather than any kind of even fight. A hobby cunt talking utter shite will get more eyes than an actual talented fighter so boxing and MMA are both hoping for more McGregor’s and Furys who are good fighters, talk utter shite, but not so good that people don’t have the hope of seeing them get battered.
