Yes, that’s terrible. But I’ve been through some bad things and I’m sure loads of others have too. Didn’t give up work either.
Was going to add his mate Bolsonaro losing re-election, struggling with eczema and a girl’s name. Ali is a great guy for the team but don’t think he’s captain material. It has to be Robbo or VVD at this point. Could see Szobo or Trent having what it takes too but not for a couple of years.
I’m leaning towards Trent. Give him the responsibility now and make him step up. Expect Virgil to get the arm band though.

I think VVD might have lost abit of that air of invincibility in recent seasons, agree with that but at this very moment, I cannot think of another candidate for Captaincy if Hendo goes other than VVD. I think the 2 close candidates are Trent and Robbo. However for Robbo, while I think he displays his passion on his sleeves and while that is great for a player to have, a Captain might need to be a bit more restrained to rein in his players but Robbo will be the first one to probably jump into a fight. For Trent, his on field abilities have long been no dispute. But I still see him as unstable (as in not fully formed or defined) in terms of character or personality and tends to withdraw into himself.
It was VVD. My lad was watching on lfctv and texting me at work throughout.
I can see VVD getting this permanently, with a home grown player getting the vice captain role and ready to step up when called upon.
Probably Robbo, but could be Trent.

For what it’s worth , I’ll pick VVD as the captain and Trent as vice captain.
VVD probably looks at times bored on the pitch , Giving him the captaincy might make him more aware and the added responsibility might just be what makes his overall game improve.
Trent as a vice captain as an understudy is a natural progression for him given that he’s been earmarked as a future captain for quite a while.

I’d go for Robbo,a while again I’d have said VVD but he has seemed a bit off lately.
Trent is one for the future,like him to get a bit a bit more experience under his belt first,maybe VC.

Depending on what CB they sign… Robbo’s place might end up in jeopardy
I voted for Trent. That armband might inspire him to hit the heights we’ve never seen from him - supremely talented, versatile, local lad, yet to hit his prime, seems to look well after himself. Captain’s armband would likely add another level of responsibility to his game and ispire more academy lads to follow his example.

That’s a good call. He’d surely make an excellent captain. A better one than Salah (love the lad, but as a captain? Nah…) , VVD or Alli imo. Trent might make a good captain too eventually, especially as he moves towards the midfield, but is he ready for it yet? Not sure.
I’m all for Robbo, even though the armband will probably go to VVD, barring a last-ditch u-turn from Hendo of course.
