Scary scene, though. That could have become very dangerous very quickly.
I thought Nunez had some great moments in the game. Probably should have scored a goal, but at the same time, most of the chances he has would not even be chances if, say, Kane was swapped in for him, as he just wouldnāt be up with the pace, or have the athleticism to carve stuff out like Darwin does.
The crowd fighting at the end gives me mixed feelings. Part of me loves his sense of injustice, and fighting his corner, especially if it is true that his family were in there. Another part of me wonders about the lengthy ban years ago that Cantona got, as well as the obvious safety issue with an elite player going into the opposition fans to fight them.
I hope this isnāt too trite, but heās a mad bastard, but it all adds to the allure for me, and I am rooting for this man and canāt wait to see what Slot does with him.

Children wearing Uruguay shirts were helped out of the melee. Even if children were in danger from the Colombia fans, it does look like Nunezās reaction was way over the top. I think if there is a ban, it wonāt be limited to international matches.
