The Corona Pandemic

Which one did you get?
Does it itch?
Happy to hear your going to be safer (if you need a second jab don’t miss it) brave man!

I will use this opportunity to reiterate something I posted some time ago about the injection as i had proof that some health workers don’t know how to inject a vaccine. All the covid vaccines are intramuscular injections and the needle should go in at a right angle, if they start going in at 45 degrees stop them.
I saw a news report where a doctor (without any protective clothing I might add) put the needle in at 45 degrees then raised it to 90 degrees. This is not only wrong it’s stupid as the needle could break in the musclenot only causes unnecessary pain and stress. Not only that if the needle breaks the injection could be ineffective. My son and i were disgusted (he’s a pharmacist and has been trained to do injections. There’s also protocols on needle length though i doubt these are being implemented during these vaccination campaigns, skinny people will just have to suffer more.

Oxford, at least that’s what they said.

No. They said there might be slight pain, but nothing.

It’s due in two months.

Myself and mester wilkored08 have had our letters , but we have to book…our nearest centre is 2 mile away…but our nearest available is 20 mile away…do we wait or do we travel???

What’s the wait time for the nearest centre?

We don’t know…spoke to person at doctors…she said they are waiting for another delivery of vaccine.

I guess it depends on your personal circumstances. I would personally want to get vaccinated as soon as possible but then I am out and about a bit so wish to protect myself and my family (who have been staying at home) as soon as I could. If that’s not your situation then probably waiting until its available locally may be the way to go?

How will you travel?
If a private car 20 miles isn’t a problem so then the question is the parking facilities at the center. If they are no good i.e likely to be full then I would wait for the center 2 miles away which if your able you could walk to (if you go by car it comes down to which center offers best parking facilities).
My parents were lucky in that their vaccination center had good parking facilities (it’s a racecourse (horse racing)).
Other than those points I don’t think it matters.

Travelling by car…2 mile as the crow flies… Just want it done asap.

Would recommend you to take the shots ASAP, if it doesn’t mean too much trouble. This COVID is a bitch (pardon my language, mam)

I’m receiving my 1st jab on Friday. Although there are vaccination centres nearer to where I live, the nearest option available for me was St Helens Rugby stadium, about 10 miles away. I”m not bothered though, I just want the vaccine ASAP.
