Hard to see the EU as emerging with that much more prestige though. European response has been incredibly mixed, but only a few smaller countries can be compared without shame to say South Korea or Taiwan. It was a little comical (although I understood the reasoning) when Canada was removed from the ‘safe’ list by the EU because of our increasing cases - by European standards, we are doing fairly well.
Month-long lockdown, when a month ago, two weeks probably would have had about the same effect. Same mistake, again and again.
Any clarifications yet on what this means for sport?
That’s…actually disappointing. It is in very bad taste. Laughing at the poor is morally damning. I understand that they themselves, those who made the card, are thinking about anti-Tory voters and that it is a trolling and a sarcastic jibe, but you just don’t do this. It just lacks decency and cannot be taken as black humour or satire.
Is that the same crystal ball that Dildo Harding said was needed to predict a second wave?
Makes arguments like the one in this article absurd - claiming that fitness centres etc. have only accounted for 156 cases, and therefore should be allowed to stay open. The UK cannot account for the majority of its cases at all. Precise measures need to be based on reasonable levels of data.
Damn, this is impressive. This is smash-mouth eradication, maybe the first country the world to go over on to the attack. Other countries have done well shutting down to defend themselves, but this is a real step toward eradication.
That’s because they’ve got Martin Skrtel in defence.
I thought he is in Turkey
Oh dear. Bozo does it again…
He’s getting quite a record for promising stuff he hasn’t got a clue about.
What happened to “Operation Moonshot”?
He’s taking lessons from Trump but hasn’t got the hang of it yet.
Did it get shot down?
Dunno. Gone vey quiet about it.
Huge concern here in Wales again now. We’re about to come out of our circuit breaker lockdown while England goes into there’s.
What do I expect? I expect loads to come across the border for “days out” or longer.
So sad. Here in France we started a month long lockdown as well. It’s so that we can all get together for Christmas (New Year should be a concern as well as ski holidays) and ensure the lock down was a complete waste of time.
It must be so frustrating living in a lovely country next to one that sees you as an amenity.
