@sithbare? Is that you?
Going all in with the anti moz.
Tbf, it’s close to over but we’ve seen how easy these batting orders can crumble. I won’t feel comfortable until there’s 10 runs remaining and about 5 wickets spare.

Uzzie: “Sorry guys. My back is still fucked from playing golf on the eve of the first Ashes instead of attending the training session”
Smitty: “any takers?”
Crickets chirping
Trav: “All right guys. Hold my beer. Literally.”
Head turns game on head…
To go from being 114 runs ahead with 9 wickets in hand to this, is, to be blunt, appalling for English cricket.
They deserve everything that’s coming their way, and it actually makes me hope (a little bit) that they lose the series 5-0.
Absolute shambles. Fucking joke. As a former bowler I’m looking squarely at the batters
I wish I could
Yeah but nah but yeah it was the best two-day test ever.
Yeah I’m sure from your perspective
. Fair play though. You take the gifts you’re given.
Good analysis, and the comments are actually quite accurate, imo. Strange for a BEEB article, you never see that when it’s football!!!
Some people flew half way around the world to watch that shower of shit.
I reckon the team should have to reimburse them. That might focus their attention.
I actually have no love for the Aussie cricket team. I grew up idolising Alan Border…then the David Warners and Michael Clarkes of the world made me despise them, to be totally honest.
Slowly coming back around.
I just wanted a good series…suffice it to say, I am not confident.
It’s incredible how this game can turn so quickly.
There was some serious gloating this time yesterday by the Poms through social media and of course the Aussie press fired up to also put the boot in.
Enter Travis Head.
I would guess he has to open in the 2nd Test. Uzzie the victim maybe?
I think many more twists and turns in this series yet.
Hopefully!
Kawaja is a good lad, but he’s looking more like a university professor and less like professional sportsman of late. Why not open with Head?
What happened to that pimply youth who upset Kohli?
As for England, Crawley must go. Pope’s basically opening anyway. Bring in Bethell and give the middle order a kick in the arse.
Good professor analogy and another reason I have called for his sacking.
I don’t think they roll the dice with the pimply kid despite his heroics on Boxing Day. Just no runs since.
Tough also on Boland and Doggett who might be punted.
Make me want to puke ![]()

That’s par for the course really. The English media including BBC were talking as if England were close to victory yesterday when the day ended with the teams fairly even. But the media exist to from up interest.
As much as we want to not believe it, this game was going to come down to which top order could get lucky and get some batting starts and use that as a platform to go on with it. We fortunately bowled well and limited the stats of the English top order. We then had the opposite state of affairs when we batted and we blitzed that chase through momentum.
That could have been a very different result on another day. This binary opinion where England can only ever be fantastic or abysmally shit is very…English.
But in this particular case they were abysmally shit so

It’s likely he’ll open, but it’s important not to get carried away with that knock. Trav can blow hot and cold. As is always the case on these day nighters, Aus will naturally lose the toss to ensure our openers are walking out to bat the second the sun goes down. That will be a tough proposition for Head.
When I look back on his last 12 months, there have been a few chunky scores. Still, I would be wary of someone moving up from number 5 to open and expecting too much as a medium to long term option there
wtf just happened? I was reading the 30 mins that cost England the test article this morning feeling it was being very hyperbolic. It was a slow realization that the test was actually over alfuckingready
