Xavi's bizarre rule Netherlands stars will have to follow under new manager

First match against Kloppo?
Found the article…
Van Dijk, Gravenberch, Frimpong and Gakpo went from Slot and Koeman to Iraola and Xavi in the same summer.
Edit
The Dutch are still a bit bewildered because, apparently, no Dutch coach wanted to take the job. Everyone who was approached turned it down.
Wow, just got back to see this. Not sure how I feel tbh. I’m happy that they got a non-Dutch manager (only the third in history, iirc), but he didn’t wow as Barca manager. At least I won’t have to see them start 5 CBs in a round of 16 match…I hope!
Xavi + the Netherlands is a footballing romance that makes sense to me.
Goodness, that’s funny, tho.
Xavi speaking (or attempting to speak) that horrible language… that will be fun.

That’s low, Zoran. I agree, of course, but I would never say it.
Maybe he’ll see the same tutor as Steve McClaren.
Some good coaches going into the national team gig right now. Kloppo’s Germany against Xavi’s Oranje will be a mouthwatering prospect. ![]()
I don’t think he’ll ever try. Dutch is a language for those who learnt it from early on, and I speak from experience. No chance that he’ll speak it during his gig with them. But the Dutch all speak English very well, so no problems there. ![]()
Racist!
I’m not sure that you are aware of this word’s meaning.
Metaphorical Sense: Describing a very tempting or appealing prospect, such as a large cash prize or an exciting deal. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Or the prospect of a good football match! ![]()
Of course, I could have written scrumptious, but…

Xavi doesn't mess around 😳🇳🇱
Huh?
What’s this supposed to mean? There’s no context.
Although very club specific, it means that the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Frenkie de Jong will have to curb any wild extra-curricular hobbies that are deemed to be hazardous.
"Off-field conduct was a key focus, and one of the unusual rules prohibited “risky” activities. Under this policy, players were forbidden from surfing or riding e-bikes; a violation would be deemed a “flagrant breach of contract.”
I think they mean the e-bike ban; as a “cycling nation,” the Dutch all ride at least a hybrid version when they’re out with their families nowadays.
I actually hope Virgil retires tbh
I thought he had already announced he was done with the Dutch team
Edit: Seemingly not officially. Just lots of “he is expected to step aside” stories
It’s time. He will be almost 40 for the next WC, and has done everything asked of him, and more. He needs to take the long ride over the dusty trail, and into the sunset. Will go down as a legend, one of the greatest to ever wear the Oranje.
Is it having kids during the season?
