I heard yesterday that the EU is considering a very effective counter-measure against the US tariffs, without having to reply with reciprocal tariffs (which would only create inflation and be a shot in one’s own knee): blocking US companies from participating in calls to bid for big European contracts.
That would hurt the US export economy enormously, while having minimal impact on the domestic market.
