The European Union

To be fair, the riots and looting cannot erase that the public schools were under funded? But of course the disorderly elements are going to use the protests to do the shit they are doing now. The legitimate school concerns and the illegitimate looting, both can exist at the same time, but you cannot say the latter is because of the former.

On a more general basis, that’s how a society has to accept if you allow a people power, protest driven society. Not that it’s bad, it’s that just as there are bad government, there are bad people too and people power does not discriminate good or bad people using that as a platform. And maybe people in the west will not see it but running an efficient country requires not just the efforts of the government, but the people too. But I have a feeling that France has gone down too far this road to ever change how the society sees how it should be run. Just hope that the innocent citizens be kept safe.

I never said any of those things. What are you talking about ?

So why your question?
Or are you just really confused?

Quite obvious really.

People in denial pretending that this is a student protest rather than the chickens coming home to roost for years and years of mass immigration, alongside far left groups.

What the fuck are you on about immigration for?

This IS a student protest, and has been since the start. They have valid reasons for voicing their dissatisfaction, and put them forward very well. There is also a general acceptance within the population that they are justified to do that.

The looting and violence on the other hand is something completely separate. It has more to do with decades of social segregation and the power in place ignoring (or even furthering) a general impoverishment among the most fragile part of the society. That eventually leads to violence.

(Is it an immigration issue as you claim? That’s what the likes of Marine Le Pen or Farage will want you to believe. Social segregation and impoverishment is a far better key to understand this situation imo.)

If we’re talking about Saturday’s demonstrations this was a much wider movement incorporating many ‘complaints’ and the rebirth of the gilets jaune (particularly Marseille).
Also there was the police strike to take into account and the interior ministry completely messing up their information and being completely unprepared.

Social segregation is the reason they’re looting Nike not book shops?

Didn’t see many south east Asian immigrants looting. Are they not socially segregated?

We don’t need Marine le Pen or Farage to tell us anything. We have eyes.

A lot of the looters are second and third generation immigrants that seem to hate France and have little business being there tbh

Eh? They’ve looted and destroyed what they could: book shops, Nike shops, town halls … whatever came their way.

I also don’t understand how you make this a racial issue. As far as I know, the looters aren’t of one particular race more than another.

Really? Waterstones been badly hit has it? I think not.

I didn’t say a specific race. I said essentially immigrants, indeed mostly African not Chinese for example. And why? Because they’re massive overrepresented in perpetrators in the looting. Just as they are every time Paris is ransacked after a football game.

No, probably not, because there are no branches in France?

Wouldn’t that make their parents /grandparents the immigrants rather than the looters?
I’d have thought if the above was the case then they were just looters.

Yes that’s what the terms mean.

I myself am a first generation immigrant

Colonialism. This might give you a clue:

What clue is that?

France has what half a million south east Asians?

Don’t think I’ve seen any rioting. Certainly not in groups. It’s cultural

Do you have a reliable link to confirm this? I won’t simply believe that on hear-say. Maybe there alre also people with an Asian background participating?

Beyond that, it’s logical that most of the looters are from rather disadvantaged social backgrounds. If there is an over-representation as you say (again something which needs to be adequately demonstrated), it tells probably a lot about how France treats its immigrants and their descendants.

If their perants/ grandparents were immigrants that make the looters french, not immigrants.
