Was finally able to watch The Batman.
Good movie. But that’s it. Doubt I’ll will ever have the need to watch it again - not even before the sequel starts.
The Riddler arrest scene where they show Paul Danos face for the first time after almost 100 minutes in was the only ‘iconic’ scene in the whole movie imo.
Strange decision to appoint a great actor like Colin Farrell to play Penguin but why costume him to unrecognizability.
Other than that - good story. Great cast. I’m just not a fan of this ‘film noir crime movie’ style.
I watched the Netflix true-crime movie Girl in the Picture. A heartbreaking story.
Just watched Commando for probably the billionth time. I love that movie. Had never realised that it is a Joel Silver movie, but that totally makes sense.

Great film. John Hughes did some awesome movies.
Commando got me into action movies, I reckon. I would have been 8 or 9…Friday night, mum had people over so I stayed up watching TV whilst she was distracted.
Good times.
We tried watching the great outdoors a couple of weeks ago. It was rough.

Yeah, I watched it for the first time a couple of years ago and I struggled with it despite having John Candy and Dan Akroyd in.
I think some of his stuff is hit or miss but I absolutely still love Uncle Buck, Planes Trains and Automobiles, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, and Breakfast Club. Pretty in Pink, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, were really fun movies to grow up to as well.

Finally got to see the new Elvis film.
The music is, of course, fantastic and Austin Butler as Elvis does a magnificent job. Tom Hanks as the conniving Colonel Tom Parker is pretty good - but not one of his more outstanding roles.
The cinema where I saw it was pretty much full - of all ages - so it is not just a film for the fans.
Luhrman has his usual kaleidoscope of colours and sounds which works brilliantly.
Tho only criticism I could make is that the film is a bit long - but thats the fashion these days.
Definitely worth a look.

Taxi is great film, and a fascinating insight into life in Tehran
I will never understand why anybody decided that a 5 second trailer before the trailer was a good idea 
Now I’ve actually watched the trailer, I feel they’re deep in Thor Ragnarok territory with the tone (which isn’t a bad thing).
While I’d prefer this was based on the cartoon rather than the boardgame, but that’s personal preference, this actually looks like it might be okay

Interceptor.
Pretty straight forward as it gets. 90 mins of good action with the film shot 95% at the same location.
Not sure the Antagonists were strong enough, they acted like they were in a marvel comedy.
