The Gray Man

My advice is kick back relax and enjoy.

Film has more action in it than all the previous F&F put together.

Watched it last night.

The basic plot of the movie is -

Lets blow some shit up.

And they only go around like half the countries across the globe to do it!

Blow some shit up, if that don’t work we’ll fuck shit up.

Really liked the first two Creed movies.

Michael B. Jordan will also be directing the third and it looks like Stallone won’t be involved.

I only learned recently that Stallone doesn’t actually own any of the Rocky IP. All the previous movies, including the Creed spin offs, he’s only ever been hired talent for them, even the ones he wrote and got producing credits on. But it means they’re making this one with no input from him or payment being made. But I guess that is the point of the studio system

Wow, i wasnt aware of that. He is so synonymous with it, and having wrote it and it being such a huge success you would have thought he would have a piece of the pie. Does he own the Rambo IP, i’m guessing not?

Talking of stallone, saw a trailer for his new movie where he is an old guy with super powers.

Super powers, eh? Seems like everyone has those these days. At some point they stop being super.

Try telling that to Marvel or DC…Still going strong after how ever many years it’s been.

I predicted the soon to come inevitable demise of TV talent shows. That was in the early 2000s.

Just got back from “Nope”. Wow, what an outstanding film. Jordan Peele and Daniel Kaaluya is a special combination, Peele has only made three movies but he must already be considered one of the best in business right now? Certainly the most interesting and innovative.

There is so much to unpack with Nope, I feel like the first time I watched Get Out - tomorrow I’m going to spend several hours reading fan theory on everything that happened. That’s what makes Peele so engaging, there is so much more going on than meets the eye, it’s impossible to get all of it on the first watch and absolutely nothing that happens in one of his films is for no reason.

Loved it as I watched it and now that I’m home and talking about it I am realizing I love it even more. Nor sure he can ever top Get Out but goodness me Nope is one hell of an effort.

Finally got around to Love & Thunder. Worth the wait. While I have enjoyed all of them, this was just pure escapist fun and felt like it existed for it’s own sake rather than being part of the bigger story.

Cracking soundtrack too.

Contentious film amongst many… IMO, thought it was a good watch

The Gray Man was disappointing. A bloated remake of Commando but less fun.

Spoiler

Also ultimately pointless as nothing is really changed by the events of the movie, mostly because of any character’s inability to carry the mcguffin chip anywhere else other than in the golden medallion.

Can’t believe Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has thrown his name into the mix

Don’t want to give any spoilers away but err…
