He has no idea,period!
The fuckwits fuckwit.

Well, damn. My opinion of him is improving already.
Tbh thatâs exactly what I have been hoping for from Germany - leadership in Europe at a time when thereâs a potential vacuum left by the USAâs abandonment, and talk of a European led alliance separate from NATO. We know Trumpâs playbook over the next couple of years and it involves creating friction in NATO at the behest of Putin.
I know not all US Americans voted for him, but at this critical point, fuck USA. Itâs time for those powerful European countries to make a stand without them.
There is a very good a analysis of the figures in English from DW here:
I think the rise of Die Linke vote in the last few weeks is very interesting, because they seem to have been the one party that has engaged with people and found out their real problems rather than only engaging with the AfD and banging on about immigration the whole time.
I also noticed from the DW graphs, that AfD votes were strongest amongst male 35-44 year olds, those with only basic education and previous non-voters. Their support is weakest amongst the over 70s, which is hardly surprising as they are most likely to remember the aftermath of the Nazis.
Itâs quite striking really how it is really the East-West divide renewed.
DW also points out that the Greens had their lowest popularity among the 18-24s, which is not a good omen. Social media really is a disease.
I was watching the coverage last night and found myself agreeing with everything I heard. The earliest of days, of course, but hope springs eternal.
SolidaritÀtszuschlag was a waste of time then.
So this CDU is a better right than the all out right AfD? What is the big difference between them and the AfD since it is also supposedly a right wing party?
The CDU is traditionally a centre right party, the party of Kohl and Merkel, but they have drifted to the right in response to the rise of the AFD.
The AFD are anti democratic racist fascists.

Citing the witch : I want my money back !
Surprised by this. It remains to be seen whether this is just empty talk, or if there is a genuine willingness to achieve independence from the US, but I wouldnât have expected this from an atlantist like Merz. This will likely smoothen Germanyâs relationship with France, Poland and the Nordic states who strongly support that idea.
But alternatively, heâs maybe just starting to adopt Trumpâs ânegociationâ tactics?
All these positions Merz is getting flowers for here are mainstream, as in all parties but the far-right and far left are holding these. Especially after the recent Trump shit. This wasnât going to be the issue. Although how to actually finance these might be.
The Greens have been equally if not on occasion more vocal in e.g. Ukraine support, so even if they should end up being needed for a coalition, that wonât be a problem. The SPD was the most hesitant of those centre parties in military support for Ukraine, but it was clear, that Scholz will likely be gone gone after the election, at least in a leading position (he was never popular in his own party nor has a strong base) and he was really the main problem there, people like Pistorius for example arenât.
Woman who split from her old party to form a new one with her name on it and got endless hours of free media even back when her party was little more than an idea complains about media.
Perfect for the snowflakes on the far-right, in other words.
I thought it would be interesting to follow up your original post with the actual result:
In terms of the campaign, it looks like the CDU have really made a hash of it, dropiing 5% of the vote in that time. SPD and GrĂŒne have largely held up and the biggest winners appear to be Die Linke (they werenât on the initial graph, but where on somewhere between 2-3% of the vote at the time.
