fucking hell , what’s wrong with squeezing ? a wedge of lime that is

I worked in The Congo for 2 years around 2009.
Local beer was called Ngok.
Weirdest experience ever.
Massive hangover before even feeling drunk.
Apparently laced with formaldehyde

Thought they all drank Um Bongo in those parts.

I was wondering how many would get the reference.

Oh I got it!!

Of all the ciders you could drink, you choose Strongbow. Absolutely shameful.

Passed me by but it wasn’t around till 1983 apparently. I was 15 years into best bitter by then .

There is a thread for drinks too  :wine_glass: :champagne:

Anything and everything,

I’m not fussy…

Balashi is the same in Aruba. You don’t get drunk, you just feel like shit. As it’s half the price of anything else on the island (6 pack of Heineken is about $30) I have painful experience.

Always have a youtube channel / radio on when working. Heard a cracker earlier about a flood of Whisky in Dublin years ago. Long story short the locals used every vessel possible to collect the fluid including boots (fill your boots) The fire and smoke inhalation from the disaster killed 0 people. 13 died from alcohol poisoning :rofl::rofl:

Depends who turns up, no?

Is that what the film Whisky Galore was based on?

Wasn’t that the shipwreck?
