The Hunt for Klopp’s Successor

This^ I know what you mean about this, but I disagree with the basic undertones, respect to Klopp for what he has done , but I support Liverpool first and foremost, if a manager for whatever reason (this case personal reasons) moves on, then I respect that and wish them well and have to say in klopps case a big thank you.

But there genuinely seems to be a worship of the manager above the club…yes it would have been nice for us to win the league, but for me , it’s about winning for the club, and for them it should be about winning it for the club and the fans.

Yeah, but Mo has to be willing, and I see no evidence that he is ready for semi-retirement.

Liverpool has been a club that venerates it’s managers since about 1960. It isn’t a new thing.

As I said I know what you mean, and I know how to show respect for a manager that is worthy of it ( people’s opinions vary on which are worthy)…but the players should be trying to win every match for the club. & Fans first and foremost, not for the manager who announced he is leaving at the seasons end.

Again I know what you are getting at and agree with it, just feel sometimes the importance of one individual is placed higher than the club.

I think it turns out that at left wing, LFC is stocked pretty well. Jota, Gakpo and Nunez can all play there and we haven’t gone on to the kids that can play there.

It is at CF and RW where the goal-scoring options are either unreliable (see Nunez as CF) or aging ( see Salah at RW).

I don’t think FSG would have the balls to sell both Diaz and Salah away just to get Ben Doak as a starting RW.

I know it’s their job but…hey… The media is so annoying

Little rat Cotterill.

He could sneak into the Kremlin to catch Putin having a w*nk.

:joy:

Probably over a picture of himself.

But, if it falls through, Slot was never considered to be the internal favourite.

Exactly.

Unfortunately that does not include financial doping.

Also, it doesn’t include doping. Guardiola is a specialist in that regard.

Absolutely. If Mo wants to see out his deal - and he is not only within his rights to do that, but he might be looking forward to another crack at the Prem and CL under the new manager - then the matter is settled. Mo stays.

He holds the cards.

If he would like to move on, I’d like to see what we could do with the fee to help refresh the team under the new manager.
