I was thinking about the same thing, but there’s a rationale behind it.
The following article explains it well.

FSG will be praying they dont have to pay that extra 2 million, amitright?
I believe the club that told him to go public.
Feyenoord are notoriously difficult to negotiate with, and have fended off interest from several clubs. He does not have a release clause and for him and his back room staff they can command a large fee. (£10-20m).
This creates a pressure and almost an inevitability about it. Rather than protracted negotiations. In one of the videos above it described Feyenoord CEO as head and shoulders above anyone else in the league. While negotiating you can think your winning, and he is smiling (and a nice guy) actually nothing is happening in the background. He will string things out till you lose interest. This I think is what Slot/Liverpool are trying to avoid.
If it isn’t working we can still blame Edwards, trust the process etc.
says the guy stuck in traffic, complaining about the people causing traffic jams…
Does Amorim have a release clause?
Sporting paid €10,5m when they brought him in from Braga. Going to be even more for West Ham.
Wow, the euphoria around here certainly is infectious.
