I see that the Wookey Hollow has an ad there. I used to walk past there on the way to Anfield and Iām pretty sure it was out of business by the mid eighties. So Iām guessing itās from the early eighties.
This is an interesting bit of history of the Black community in Liverpool which streches to three centuries or more. What a wonderful multicultural mosaic Liverpool has.
Iām interested in the Friday event, since Iām coming to Liverpool as things stand exactly on Friday and should be able to arrive in time.
Is it for UK people only or can I also buy tickets online?
Iām coming!
It took me ages. Staying in Chester. Near the station
Thanks @Rambler for all your help. Sending you virtual hugs.
Oh wrong thread!
Too much information.
Thatās a really good find. Itās about 45 minutes to the city centre on the Wirral line train. I was going to post the timetable, but they only have it published up until 17th May at the moment.
Thanks @RedWhippet . Really appreciate your help.
I just need to book my train tkt now. I may go by car as since i booked a big room. I am sure one of the family will come with me.
Hi liverpudlians,
How do i get to Allerton road please?
Is there a bus from somewhere in Liverpool, i.e city centre or Woolten.
I need to know the no of the buses please
Then, i need to get to the Strand to see the end of the parade.
I think you can check Citymapper or Google Maps, they would have rather decent directionsā¦
I think what heās trying to say isā¦
Google it!!!
See, I posted before I realised that things could/would change on the day of the parade and so locals may know what better to expect.
But then again Citymapper/Google Maps are usually pretty up-to-date on such transport information.
Iām really envious of @Maria though.
I need to ask a local person because he may know a short cut and how to get round the traffic and crowds.
There is an 86 bus or something. I need to get to Mossley hill.
There is a Mossley Hill station. If you are going to be staying in Chester then it is probably easiest to get the train to Lime Street and then the City Line train to Mossley Hill
On the day of the parade. The beginning may be in Allerton road. I want to go there.
Then, i need to be in The Strand, when the parade ends. Working out how to get there.
This was from the last parade in 3019
Hereās some of the key information for fans to help get ready for Liverpoolās city parade on Sunday afternoon.
Route information
The parade is planned to start at 4pm BST and is expected to last for a number of hours. The victory parade route will start at Allerton Maze and will travel northbound on Queens Drive towards the Fiveways roundabout and Rocket flyover. From there it will journey along:
- Queens Drive
- Mill Bank
- West Derby Road
- Islington
- Leeds Street
- The Strand
- Route finishes at Blundell Street
You can follow the progress of the team bus on the Culture Liverpool website here, which features the full route in an interactive map.
When I am travelling in Merseyside, I tend to get Savaway tickets. They are usually much cheaper than the individual train tickets and you can use them all day (at least after 09:30 on workdays)

Thanks a million. Shall i get it on the day orvin advance?
The Strand is right next to James Street station.
God bless you @RedWhippet .
There are going to ve thousands of people. I want to get there early.
