and who is this lovely lady ![]()
I don’t have a clue, I think she works in the cafe there. ![]()
It’s gorgeous around there. I have friends who used to live just off the main road, actually in the same apartment building that Gérard Houllier and his wife stayed in.
We occasionally had a party for my friend’s birthday in August that would start off as a picnic in Sefton Park.
I used to live near St. Michael’s station, so I used to hang out in Lark Lane a lot. Of course, it’s changed a lot there since the 1980s.
Anyway, I’ll be taking a stroll down memory lane next month when I’ll be home for a couple of weeks.
Can’t imagine a better place to have a shut-eye than the bottom pic. Absolutely serene.
I absolutely loved Sefton Park. Of the 3 years I spent in Liverpool, I managed to find places to live near the park (very close to a number of the hall of residents for the Polytechnics and University). I rode my bicycle there almost every weekend.
I swear, the weather was mediterranean level. It was so lovely.
I think the whole of Liverpool was out and about on that day.
