Has “Big” Jim seen this? I think he should.

Unless they can entice some big name, they’ll surely go in for Nuno (Espirito Santo, not Bettencourt)?

It feels like the tide has turned and people have stopped making excuses. Instead it feels like acceptance that this cannot go on and he either changes what he’s trying to do or he is changed and is removed from the job.

The tide might have turned but Amorim’s stance certainly hasn’t changed!

He’s desperate for the push now, isn’t he?

Four games in… four points on the board is a relegation scrap

Well he’s keeping up the Points per game from last season that was 27 from 27 games.

He’s actually improved. Last season he got only 26 from 27. Now is 4 in 4 :rofl::rofl:

Ah right for some reason I counted 27pts several times

After just four games, stats guru Opta say United now stands more chance (11%) of getting relegated this season than of finishing inside the top five (7.3%).

Man Utd are far too good to go down and will easily pick up enough points to be safe…

’ It’s 10 months since he was appointed but he is yet to win back-to-back league games. ’

He is so fired.

Other teams need to start chanting along the lines of, “You’re just a fancy Watford”, or something to that effect.

The guy hanging on for his haircut might as well start planning for contingencies now.

It’s when , not if , now.

I think we all have to realise that up till now the season has not really started. They do not have Europe for contend with however that advantage was largely negated by having to play Grimsby in midweek and now with the International break curtailing Reuben’s prep time. Going out against Grimsby is actually a a scenario for the team that will prove a blessing with leaving Amorim and his staff no distractions and giving him the much needed time on the practice field that he has not been afforded since he took over.

The first part of the season was largely a free hit for United as they now go into this next phase with the time on their hands that they needed. It would not surprise in the least if this was planned ahead for as Amorim is a known lateral thinker who is ahead of everyone and while the results may seem underwhelming, it should be seen as part of the bigger picture that he is trying to get across with short term pain for long term gain. The board is firmly with him on this and will not waver from their convictions having invested heavily into Amorim thus far and all things considered, that is surely the logical course of action. The signs are all there that United are dominant in open play and the stats bear that out as well. Fans, players and the board alike simply have to stick, rather than twist.

Thinking of applying for a job at the Beeb, how did I do?
