Iâve been saying this for years, along with the fact he is absolutely toxic. Iâve said he should be first out the door too.
Get out of here. Closet United fan. Brunoâs the best thing to happen to them (from lfc perspective)
Also. W.r.t Bruno , we were linked with him and passed on the opportunity of signing him. He would have been a fine player for us. The problem at United is to do with the mismanagement of the players theyâve bought.
Depends if someone offers what theyâre after. Otherwise, they can still sit on the asset while reaping the rewards. They were last asking for ÂŁ6bn, and thatâs before the new stadium is completed (or even a design concept). If they stick around, and itâs actually built, itâll be available for a lot more, and I canât see many buyers out there whoâd be willing to stump up maybe ÂŁ8bn for the club (maybe a basket case like âMan Utd fanâ Elon Musk, who just needs someone to love his soulless meatsuit), or the Saudis, depending on whether thereâs any truth in the summer talk that theyâre exploring a possible sale of their shares in Newcastle.
As long as they have someone fronting the football side of things i.e. Ineos, I donât think theyâre in any rush to sell, but may occasionally test the market by saying theyâre considering selling, and see what interest emerges.
Itâs to try and get Andy Burnham to lobby the government to pay for their stadium as well.
Not for me. His attitude stinks. Iâm glad he went to United.
Bullet well dodged. Just saying that he might well be singing a different tune were he with Klopp and not with Ole.
We were linked, but linked by Portuguese media as ManU was negotiating for him. I have no doubt that LFC looked at him, but didnât find the bid stories particularly credible. I suspect the analytics guys didnât like some of what they saw - in particular, his offball movement/work rate. His near-ball work rate is very good, he has the classic pass-and-move style that will make him very dynamic around the ball. He will even put in an aggressive tackle when the play is near him. What he simply doesnât do is long recovery or repositioning bursts.
The astonishing thing (well, one ofâŚ) that Amorim is doing right now is playing an otherwise talented player in a position and format that absolutely requires a willingness to put in those runs. Kante made a brilliant career by being willing to uncompromisingly make those runs to keep his otherwise largely middling skills relevant.
Jim is crying poor - he seems to think itâs for the tax payers to pay for Man Us new stadium.
Fuck right off Jim you silly (rich) cunt.
Iâm looking for odds for him gone before the Jan window, Glasner in before the window closes, and Guehi to Liverpool in Jan.
He has a contract till the end of the season with Crystal Palace. I think he will honor itâŚ
Palace will obviously get a fee a negotiated fee from MU.
Was meant to be sarcasm from my part as Glasner mentioned Guehi had to honor his contractâŚ
Yeah I got it ![]()
The odd thing about Amorim is I know he has a system and he sticks to it but no decent manager has been so rigid. In fact Mourinho was probably the last and he at least signed the players to do it, itâs not surprising itâs dropped off since he has to play with lesser talents.
Even Rodgers mixed it up and had a system that got found out by Gary Monk and then was put to the sword by Man Utd 3 days later and ended in the inglorious 6-1 defeat to Stoke.
Klopp would have failed if he had stuck rigid to his system at Dortmund even at Dortmund. Slotâs already showed 2-3 different ways to set up, not all have worked but he currently has one title and has started well to a second season.
Iâm absolutely delighted that Hughes moved on from this guy. It wonât be long before this guy is sacked but I do think the club is toxic. The reason for our success is in part FSG learning and improving on mistakes it took a while but we got there and it continues to this day. Glazers and Radcliffe think they can come in and change it throwing money at it and then pleading poverty. They are a club that should finish no lower than 8th and they have done it twice. Last season should have been a line in the sand but it seems they are in the same position.
Long may it continueâŚ.
I donât think they will get the stadium paid for, but I do think they will get some of the infrastructure work they need to do paid for. I forget the details, but I read something about this a couple of weeks ago. Maybe it was a transport hub being relocated or something like that - worth 20-25% of an overall ÂŁ2B project, so a lot of money.
There is no pressing incentive for the Glazerâs to sell. They have drawn loads of dividends and also got a very nice payday when Sir Jim rocked up. They have an appreciating asset and donât even have to mess with the thing. They are in the rarified space called âmake us an offer we canât refuse.â
I suspect they will sell if and when the stadium is done, and it will be for a ridiculous amount, perhaps to the Saudis who will want a shinier crown jewel than Newcastle.
Defending is a mindset, in that you have to have a desire not to be beaten and also, not to be the one to make a mistake by not tracking, challenging or being in the right position in comparison to your opposite player, he just doesnât have it, his defending is a token gesture, he fakes it.
Oh itâs clear that the government are willing to fund the hub around it but the stadium has been ruled out. While Radcliffe continues to bleat about a stadium for the north. Itâs clear what he wants.
Bullet well dodged. Just saying that he might well be singing a different tune were he with Klopp and not with Ole.
Iâm not sure. That shitty attitude runs deep and his refusal to run wouldnât sit well with Klopp. Sure Klopp made pjayers better but he demanded stuff in return, such as fitness and a willingness. Thats missing from Bruno.
As far as us looking at him, weâve probably looked at every player in every major league in the world and beyond. The club probably knows about a whole host of kids playing all over the UK and further too.
